Ice Cream

Last night we had an awesome Ice Cream social. It was fun, despite my only eating a spoonful of melted ice cream.

Looks like I need to pay $35 for ftmax.com. I don't want to pay it. I mean, I guess I will, but really... that domain is as useless as ... mightycow.com. Anybody wanna buy ftmax.com? ;)

Freaked out implants

My surgery didn't go quite to plan, as some of you may have found out. I have some scabbing occuring on my right side of my left eyebrow. This is where one of the sutures was for my stitch. I am planning on having this problem dealt with during Thanksgiving break. It is a tad tedious keeping the area clean (as in free from dead cells, etc). Today their was this strange thing underneath the scab that I picked at. Approximately 1-2cm of a silicon rod came out. I immediately cut it with my swiss army knife's scissors.

Anyhoo, I called my doctor's office to update them, and I was just informed that my doctor can only see me on Tuesday. So I'm going to skip class on Monday and Tuesday and go to Minnesota on the 20th and stay until the 28th.

Note to self: It's Thursday, not Friday today.

Ventura

Read this article on Governor Ventura. It's quite amusing. The quote I like is, "Organized religion is a sham and a crutch for weak-minded people who need strength in numbers." Funny leaders.

the GAP

I used to think some of those GAP commercials with everybody singing were cool. Like when they sang Madonna's Dress You Up. Then I saw the one with Depeche Mode's Just Can't Get Enough. That really bit. I like it when Depeche Mode sings that song, but not when the Gap does. The Gap sucks at times like these.

lobsters

Lobsters have over-ridden Allen Hall this year. The thing with the lobsters are this. When you eat the green goo stuff in them that goo takes over your body and you become a slave to the lobster. If you ate any of those lobsters, question your acts. Did decide to do something? Or did the lobster make you decide.

Down time

Sorry, davedash.com, ftmax.com and some of my other domains were moved to a new faster server that is less load intensive. It was down since 9AM CST and just got back at 2PM CST. I'm working on getting engelbot.com operational soon too.

Math 361 Midterm Exam

I had my first Midterm Exam in Math 361. It was exceptionally easy. I got a maximum of 20% wrong (one 20% problem wrong, unsure about partial credit). I do fear that the exams following this will be significantly more difficult. Matt Wright (although he probably didn't use these words) said, "Sure... the first test they give you is easy. That's just to get you hooked. After that... that's when they nail you... right in the ear."

I've got an Econ 102 exam tomorrow. It should be easy, but I think I'll study with Cindy who crams for all her tests.

Funny boats...

Today I went on an Allen Hall trip to Turkey Run State Park (in Indiana). It was a lot of fun. We noticed some Amish people there and Scott and I wondered why they were at the park. To get away from it all?

Scott and I went canoeing. It was fun. Scott was inexperienced and I was too for the most part. I did teach my self how to steer though. We eventually made it (we weren't last in our group so it was all good) despite all the collisions with rocks, logs and what not. The water there was too shallow. Canoeing rules... heh funny boats.

Blair Witch Project

I just came back from Cinema on the Quad which moved to it's rain location at Foellinger Auditorium. It was an interesting movie, but I was bored for the most part. Maybe this had to do with all the hype and whatnot and the environment wasn't right. It was funny when someone in the back screamed in the middle of the movie. I still don't see what took $30K to make that movie.
