I just saw American Beauty. I can only say one thing, and that is that it was a phenomenal film. I went in this time, not even knowing the genre of movie this was. I in turn will not spoil it for you. Unless you want?

I will say this. The midnight audience on the opening night was not a particularly great one. I may have preferred to see this in an empty theater with my friend, Sophia. Then again, a fairly large projection television and a nice comfortable couch would also suffice for me.

Woo! I slept better today, I think. I can't remember if I had a dream, but I'm sure I did. Let's see if I can stay up before class starts (2 hrs).

Wait, I did have a dream. It involved my parents trying to con me into joining a frat and me trying to give them reasons why I didn't want to. It was wierd. Cause the MTD came by to my house in Minnesota. In another part of the dream Jawed and Neal were doing stuff. I think Neal was only referred to and Jawed was like playing tennis or something.

You wouldn't think that the citizenship of your parents has any bearing on what you can and cannot do. Apparently since my mom and my brother are non-US citizens I cannot be considered for employment at the NSA for their summer program. This is all.

I used to feel upset when people didn't take good advice or help from me for whatever reason. Actually in a more general sense if people didn't believe me. Maybe I just thought that it was a waste of knowledge. I could give an example, but I think you know what I'm talking about. Now I don't care. If people don't believe me, I could care less. It really doesn't directly effect me. Plus it boils down to this. When people don't take your advice and you are right, you can always tell them, "I told you so."

Did you guys see the Simpson's, Futurama or Family Guy season premieres? I bust a nut laughing... at least during Family Guy.

Today has been pretty cool. Despite missing my 10 o'clock and having my unhealing suture on my eye bleed on me during JKD it's been fun.

I bought a new watch to replace my missing Timex Indiglo. I had one of those old ones with the small metal buttons and it was just mostly inconvenient to use. This new Armitron watch is nice though. It looks really cool... like I'm from space. Man it is cool being from space. All that for $26. $26 bucks makes you from space... what a cool-sweet deal.

I also got some mattress pad just to see if that helps... we'll find out... ah yes... I'm back into doing the "..." stuff in the journals...

So then I went to play some pool and I decided not to bowl. It was good wholesome fun. [Note: Dan Lavenda if you are reading this entry you may stop now, the rest of this does not apply to you.] Then I went to Whitney's, the 4S RA's, room to watch Mighty Aphrodite. I originally saw most of it in my humanities class. I am glad I finished the movie, because it was really funny. This is all.

I visited Adam at Lincoln Hall where he was doing his college bowl tournament. It was nice seeing him. Even though he really didn't stop by my place, I'll give him points for visiting me in Urbana.

So, life has been good so far I guess. Monday through Wednesday I went to the job expo at the Illini Union. I met a few companies that seemed interesting, including Compaq. I did manage to interview with Compaq, yesterday, and told them what I was interested in.

Yesterday Nokia also had the Nokia Carnival of Fun at our Engineering Quad. That was really fun. I won a Nokia hat. There was also free food. The display was amazing. It's really cool that Nokia was willing to do this for corporate presence on our campus. I guess sales in cell phones must have gone up a lot.

I was listening to loveline today and someone said, "No... I've never dated a rapist." Brendon in his usual half-awake mode said, "You've never dated a rapist? Good job! You get a cookie." I thought that quote was funny and should be shared.
