So in the last couple of weeks I must have damaged my cd/dvd drive on my TiBook. Unfortunately that means it needs to be repaired. Normally when I have to wait on computer like things - it takes FOREVER. So I took my 'book in Tuesday and didn't expect it back until Monday, and I said, okay, I'll be less anxious and just check on it on Friday. I called, and Apple said, it's already being delivered. Sure enough it was actually already delivered to our neighbor's office in the front :) Can't wait until that Apple Store opens in Southdale. p.s. I made the switch to non-Windows a long time ago. Then I switched to Apple, just before it was cool.

National Airlines, an airline I've never heard of until today, is offering a special September 11th Airfare. You can fly anywhere for a $1 that day, one way (first class is $1 more than their standard ticket price).

Does anybody see the irony? The hijackers of September 11th 2001 supposedly purchased a large number of one-way tickets on the planes they wanted to commandeer. Making it easier for them to take over the plane or something. Now, any bozo with a couple grand can attempt to do the same.

By the same cynicism, I've never heard of National Airlines. They might be one of those airlines that consistantly has PR problems. You know, like that one airline... airTran... formerly something that started with a "v?" Chances are these airplanes will either not make it off the ground or have to make an unscheduled stop.

Just kidding National... haha, you can't be nearly as horrible as Northwest.

layout: post title: Network Cards — I purchased a number of inexpensive 3COM network cards. So if anybody just happens to need a card, let me know. I think I’m paying less than $5 a piece for them. I always run into this problem of not having enough cards, and now that I can buy 10 cards for half the price it used to cost for one, I bought a good ammount.

I’ll be using these for my wireless network setups.

So my first big project is setting up wireless networks at the a few coffee shops. I've got two people who are pretty much ready to go along with this idea. It'll be exciting. You'll be able to walk into a coffeeshop and open your laptop and be online. We're also thinking of hardwired lines too... more on this later.

Today is moving day. I'm moving out of my parents house into an apartment in Minneapolis. Part of this is to help motivate me to get a job, and even more so, get my business on its feet somehow. I'm not too worried about either.

I was reading this document, and at the bottom it read: Please excuse my English, but I am not a native speaker. If someone wants to translate this documentation into real but less funny English, please contact me. I just found that amusing. Also amusing enough to share with everyone.

My good friend who's been like a brother to me has been detained.

So apparently I am finished for college. That still seems strange. I feel like I am on spring break or something. I guess until I finally get some clients for my business (and my business partner finishes his classes) it'll sink in that this isn't quite break. Other things will sink in as well... I really do feel like I'll be seeing everyone in a week or so. Like maybe I'll catch a movie with Shafreen, Ahmed and Raana again. Or spend some time hunting Shaf' down only to find her asleep during lunch time. Maybe a bunch of us will go to Custard Cup to cool off after a hot day.

So the underclasspersons of DSC/SFP (mostly Hawaa, Laruren, Shafaq and Rumana) made lunch and cakes and whatnot yesterday for us graduates. A truly kind gesture... I'm going to miss being here in the heart of their battles. I only hope that I can find cadre equally as cool in my future journeys. Otherwise I'll have to kidnap quite a few people.
