What should I name stuff...

I’m writing this piece of software that keeps track of appointments for doctors and such (basically lets their patients/clients log in and make an appointment). Appointment Software is came up with Schedule247 which liked, but then I thought maybe I could shorten it to sched247 and actually get a domain that matches it sched247.com. Alternatively I could get still get it and call it schedule247 anyway… or I could even get schedule247.net and break away from the .com ness, without venturing into creepy things like .us, .in, .pk, .il or .mil ;)

Punch Neopolitan Pizza

I took advantage of the 60 degree weather and left work so and I could try out her new Rollerblades. It was fun. Then we went to Punch Neopolitan Pizza - which was delicious. I highly recommend it, it’s $5 per pizza (we had a coupon for buy one get one free). We got both a Margherita and a Napoli pizza. The Napoli was the better, in my opinion. It was more flavorful and the tomatoes on it were nice and fresh tasting.

Rollerblades for Katie -or- Car parts for Dave

and I went to Play it Again Sports and picked up some Rollerblades (tm). They look real slick, the thingy that holds the wheels is metal… or metal-like. It’s used but it was only $50 (some good ones were $20-30… wrong sizes though). So hopefully in the next 15 days (before we can’t return it anymore) we’ll get to try em out. definitely check em out if you’re in the market for new skates.

Laptop

I got my laptop back from Safeware. It looks almost like new. So of course the first thing I do is install all the OS X liveJournal clients… and oddly enough, they all suck for different reasons.

Keith in Eden Prairie News

I work at Eden Prairie Schools, and we have news papers in our lounge and waiting areas. Fortunately I decided I’d look at the headlines and there was a piece about Keith. I have a few copies of it and I might get more from coworkers if anybody would like them.

Burning the roof of my mouth

So Katie thought egg rolls would be a good breakfast food and warned me “they’re hot!” I don’t think they were that great in the morning. They tasted real good, and they were hot so they burned the roof of my mouth. When will I learn?

Breakfast... at the Egg and I

Somedays are better than others. Today was better. Marc came over and we picked up Brian and Hayley and were going to go to Cafe Ibiza. Cafe Ibiza was closed so we detoured to Egg and I. It was a lot of driving but it was worth it. We were seven people eating breakfast today. Much fun. Others may join us Sunday (next week) as well just email me at breakfast-rulez (at) davedash.com

I’m not surprised Ibiza closed. They replaced Pasquals, which was my favorite restaurant. They had a lousy day-to-day food selection, but the breakfast was awesome. Katie says the Hot Chocolate was awesome too. Hopefully something good will take its place. Something run by people with better restaurant experience.

Random Sentence Generation

The Random Sentence Generator is really easy to write, but I keep running into problems with English. So each time I run into something (e.g. “a” and “an” can only precede certain words) I write a new piece of code to handle it.
